The Fascinating Science of Everyday Nature • Guided Nature Explorations

You and your group are invited to explore nature with me! The plants, animals, and habitats encountered will reveal the fascinating science of everyday nature, and I’ll provide participants with insights, techniques, and perspectives that will help them build stronger connections and deeper curiosity about the nature they find back home or anywhere!

Topics include species identification, introduction to ecological habitats, the evolution and ecology of species traits, the ways different species interact, how energy and nutrients shape ecosystems, relationships between humans and nature, Indigenous perspectives on nature, nature photography, and more!

No special background knowledge is necessary • All ages welcome or any mix of ages welcome • Groups of 25 or less (larger groups can book multiple explorations) • I can modify explorations to accommodate the group’s mobility needs, and I’ll invite participants to engage as much or as little as they like to suit everyone’s comfort level

I’m offering these at the Loyola University Retreat & Ecology Campus (LUREC), The Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary and Dune Reclamation, or any public space in Chicago with nature!
